We are assisting a client with hiring an Eletrical/Firmware Developer/Engineer for their team in Guilford, CT. Experience with firmwre development and medical devices is required. This position is onsite in Guilford.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer to lead the design, troubleshooting, and validation of embedded systems in new and legacy medical devices. Reporting to the R&D Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate with internal teams and customers to drive innovation and ensure product safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Drive development of next-generation electronics and embedded systems.
* Design, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and custom PCBs.
* Develop and validate firmware for ARM-based MCUs.
* Ensure compliance with medical device standards (IEC 60601-1, IEC 62304 ...etc.).
* Create and manage design control documents (FMEAs, BOMs, test protocols).
* Participate in design reviews and support medical compliance standards testing.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions.

Skills/ Qualifications:
* BS/MS in Electrical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering; 5+ years of experience.
* Experience with design control documentation, including product requirements, specifications, and related materials.
* Knowledge of the medical devices standards is a plus.
* Proficiency in embedded systems design, PCB layout, and circuit troubleshooting.
* Expertise in C/C++ and firmware development.
* Experience with formal design controls and medical device standards.
* Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
